Acupuncture

Known over than 3000 years, acupuncture has been a recognized by the veterinary field since 1974. This therapeutic technique offers new alternatives when other options don’t yield the anticipated results.

The DMV Veterinary Center has offered this interesting service since 1998, under the supervision of Dr. Hélaine Haltrecht, veterinary doctor, member of the International Association of Acupuncture Veterinary (IVAS), vice-president of the Canadian chapter.

Acupuncture is mainly recommended for treating functional problems such as paralysis; non-infectious inflammation; muscular-skeletal, respiratory and gastro-intestinal disorders; and several others. It is a field in constant evolution, one that promotes and stimulates professional exchanges between several medical specialties.
